“A quote that you live by” -Kyle

Q: Where are you from, and when did you move to Austin/Round Rock?

A: I was born and raised right in Austin, Texas — it’s home through and through.

Q: Do you have kids (if so how many? boy/girl?), Husband, Wife?

A: I don’t have kids of my own, but the blessing of coaching children definitely keeps me on my toes!

Q: What recreational activities did you do as a kid?

A: As a kid, I was all about longboarding, parkour, and diving into video games — those were my favorite ways to spend time!

Q: What’s your movement background and experience?

A: Growing up, I ran track for about four years — but once I discovered parkour, I completely fell in love with it. The creativity, the freedom, and especially the idea of setting a personal challenge that really pushes you — whether it’s about skill, fear, or both — and then finding a way to overcome it. That’s what pulled me in, and it’s why I’ve always gravitated more toward parkour.

Q: How did you find The Jungle, and what do you like about working at The Jungle?

A: I actually found The Jungle through a quick Google search. I had stepped away from parkour for about a year, and when I was trying to get back into movement, I came across The Jungle on Google Maps. One Friday evening, I decided to check it out — that first visit turned into weekly training sessions, and before I knew it, I was offered the chance to coach here. What I love most about The Jungle is the community and the constant access to a true parkour environment. One of the biggest challenges in parkour is always hunting for new spots to train — but with The Jungle, it’s built specifically for parkour from the ground up. That brings a real sense of peace, just knowing I’ve got a space like this available anytime.

Q: What's your Jungle animal?

A: My Jungle animal is the kangaroo — one of my students actually gave me that name. At first, I wasn’t really known for my jumps, but once I got tagged with it, I had to live up to it! So I started training those thunder thighs to step up my game!

Q: Why are you a coach?

A: I coach because it’s a way to serve — and I truly believe that a life rooted in service is one of the most meaningful ways to live. Being in a position where I can support the growth and development of others is something I find incredibly fulfilling.

Q: Favorite Color?

A: Red

Q: If you could only bend one element (earth, air, water, fire), what would it be and why?

A: If I could bend one element, it would probably be fire. A lot of people see fire as purely destructive — but to me, it represents passion. With the right self-control to temper the flames, fire becomes something powerful and purposeful. You can cook with it, protect with it, build shelter, even bring people together around it. It’s a tool — and when it’s used with a humble mindset, it can do so much good.
