“What’s the best thing that could happen?”
Q: Where are you from, and when did you move to Austin/Round Rock?
A: I am from Nacogdoches TX and moved to the Austin area when I was 14
Q: What recreational activities did you do as a kid?
A: Climb trees, jump out of said trees. Lots of camping as well.
Q: What’s your movement background and experience?
A: I’ve been training parkour since 2016 and have picked up Trampoline and Tumbling as well as Ninja Warrior skills along the way. I’ve also dabbled in many martial arts forms.
Q: How did you find The Jungle, and what do you like about working at The Jungle?
A: I found the Jungle when my two favorite coaches at a gym named BAM Academy, were leaving to start the Jungle. What I love about working at the Jungle is that there is never a dull moment. I’m always working on a new project or directing people through epic activities. I get to do my two favorite professions which is building and coaching. Also I get to work with all of my friends and I meet awesome new people all the time. It’s extremely fulfilling to be apart of and help grow this amazing community.
Q: What's your Jungle animal?
A: The Wolf
Q: If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?
A: Definitely a wolf. I am a very pack oriented kind of person. Wolves are very social animals and have a great sense of team work and the importance of working together for the greater good of the pack. There’s a reason there are wolves of some sort all over the world.
Q: Why are you a coach?
A: I grew up doing all kinds of crazy tricks and stunts and then found out it was called parkour. I wish that I had a place like the Jungle when I was a kid and it’s extremely fulfilling to facilitate that for all of the kids and adults that come here. I believe that expressing creative freedom in the form of movement is good for not only the body but also the mind and spirit. I believe that play is an important pillar of the human experience and love showing people how to be better and play.
Q: What goals in life do you have?
A: Some of my major life goals are to facilitate the learning of a multitude of movement practices to as many people as possible. I also want to create a program that unites life lessons with movement practices. I want to start and be apart of businesses with my friends. I want to become a master communicator. I want to start a strong family with good core values that will have a positive impact wherever we go. Lastly, I’d love to travel the world and behold all the beauties of God’s creation.
Q: What accomplishments have you achieved in life so far? (What are you proud of?)
A: I would say that my greatest accomplishment in life is making a living doing what I love. Becoming a coach and a leader in this community has been one of my most fulfilling achievements for sure.
Q: What’s your favorite restaurant?
A: Perry’s Steak House
Q: What's your favorite meal to cook?
A: Steak and eggs
Q: Favorite treat?
A: Carnivore cake
Q: Favorite show/movie?
A: The Chosen
Q: Favorite video game?
A: Skyrim
Q: Favorite Color?
A: Green
Q: What's your dream vacation?
A: Probably a cruise. It sounds really relaxing and I would get to see several cool places on the same trip
Q: If you could only bend one element (earth, air, water, fire), what would it be and why?
A: Air bending for sure. It would level up my parkour, trampoline and gymnastic skills like ten fold. Also being able to fly with a glider would be so sick!
